Hybrid education combines the accessibility of online classes with the utility of hands-on training. Our hybrid program brings traditional HVAC/R training into the modern age.

We recognize the desire for convenience and understand the necessity of experience. We designed the program with a typical month consisting of 12 hours of online education and 8 hours of hands-on experience.

The entire ATS Hybrid Program will be spread out over 4 years. This will consist of 960 total contact hours as well as 64 total credit hours.

For Year One, tuition is $5,100. A one-time Technology Fee of $500 will also be assessed in the first year to cover the student laptop, associated software, and the online platform.

Please note that we are running a promotional tuition rate of $4,100 for our first start on October 4, 2019.

The ATS Hybrid Program was designed to accommodate full-time employees.

On an average month, students will go through 12 hours of online course content and attend a single, 8-hour hands-on day at the American Trade School HVAC/R Lab.

The online resources of the course will include an e-textbook, online assignments and quizzes, equipment simulations, and custom video content.

ATS produced over 200 custom videos for the first year alone. These include theory lectures, practical demonstrations with tools and equipment, as well as typical operation and troubleshooting.

The online course format for students will be to read the e-textbook material, watch our custom video series, and then finish with the associated assignments and quizzes prior to attending the lab day.

All lab days will be hosted at American Trade School HVAC/R Lab located at 3939 Industrial Drive, St. Ann, MO 63074.

A written test will be given first to cover the online content for that month. Following the test, an HVAC/R instructor will demonstrate all work to be performed by the students that day. Students can then practice their demonstrations before finally beginning their practical assessment.
